Episode 3 of Love & Hip Hop Hollywood was a Distressing Confirmation of "Ghetto-Glamour"

Love & Hip Hop Hollywood is turning out to be a 'ghetto glamor' series where 'over-made-up' women act a fool before the world. Monday's September 29 Episode 3 confirmed it for viewers.

Who ARE these people? And WHY are they on TV? Because we like watching them.

Why Are You So Insecure?

Romance is sweet.

Love and happiness are pure bliss. But what happens to it?

After a few months of romance and a taste of bliss, something or "someone" goes wrong.

Suddenly, romance, love, and happiness are not enough. Or is it too much?

At the risk of sounding one-sided, I would venture to say it's usually the man who tires of the relationship.

New love and romance are like a "drug binge" for most men (not all, but most).

They spend weeks at a time absorbing each other's breath and feeling each other's heartbeat, nothing else. Then when they burn out, they have to "get away" from each other, much like an addict burns out on a binge, and then he has to go somewhere and sleep for a week.

Atlanta Exes, September 22, 2014 Didn't Disappoint

If you started out watching "Atlanta Exes" from its debut, then you know the show didn't disappoint tonight.

In fact, it had somewhat of a "classy" air about it...until the "ghetto" surfaced--and I don't mean that in a negative sense.  As we say, "It is what it is."

Girl, let's keep it movin'...

© by nin_a_d_lux

We were "thick as thieves" in high school.  Sisters till the end.

Fine. Feminine. Fabulous.

Yeah.  We were the "baddest" class to ever attend high school...but then again, every graduating class says that.  Only, with us, it's true.

We're not in high school anymore.  Our lives took different paths after we graduated.

Some of us went on to college, others got jobs, a few of us met an early demise (RIP), and the rest got married.

Maybe you left town and we couldn't keep in touch.  But since Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, losing contact is no longer an option.  So find me! and girl, let's keep it movin'.

Men are Not Babysitters!

© Corbisimages.com
Do you have kids?

Have you ever tried to "make" their father babysit, as a way of keeping up with him, "knowing where he is?"  If so, keep reading.

Naturally, mothers love to see fathers "holding" their babies in one of those "Kodak" moments. You know, something cute--both of them wearing a "goofy" grin.

Or maybe they both look "sentimental" and loving, like this picture.

Anyway, "holding" babies and "playing" with them is perfectly natural for fathers. It's adorable.

In fact, every woman dreams of having family moments, with everyone home, watching a movie, eating popcorn, and enjoying themselves. It's the perfect picture!

What's the REAL Deal Behind Child Support? Part 2

I received a touching email yesterday from a young man who read yesterday's post.  Therefore, I thought it appropriate to use the image and the email contents to kick off Part II of this discussion.

If you missed yesterday's post, "What's the REAL Deal Behind Child Support?" Part 1, you can read it here.

You may also want to read "Why Do Women Use Child Support to Get Revenge?"  These are all discussion pieces to help us look at our behavior.

Well...let's get to it.

This IS NOT a campaign against women.

What's the REAL Deal Behind Child Support?

Every female with a child out of wedlock has probably thought about using the "child support" threat to try and keep her man in line.

Sisters, we gotta talk.

Most of us do more than just "think" about using the child support threat; we actually go through with it.  And when we do, we end up losing the man's respect forever, making it even harder on the children.  But can you even see it?

Let's form a Sisterhood...

"From birth to 18 a girl needs good parents.  From 18 to 35, she needs good looks.  From 35 to 55, good personality.  From 55 on, she needs good cash.  I'm saving my money." --- Sophia Tucker
