The wife has spoken and the mistress has to give it all back. At least that's the ruling of a judge who heard arguments in the bold and bizarre case of the 80-year-old billionaire and his public philandering. It's fair to say being a mistress isn't all it's cracked up to be.
Billionaire and former owner of the Los Angeles Clippers, Donald Sterling, was an indirect focus of another controversy.
This time his mistress, V. Stiviano, was the 'defendant' in the complaint, in which Mrs. Sterling contends Stiviano seduced her 80-year-old husband, manipulating him into giving up community property that the couple earned over the course of their marriage.
According to the report, the judge sided with Mrs. Sterling, ordering Stiviano to surrender several luxury cars, including a Ferrari, $800,000 in cash handouts, and she had to vacate a $1.8 million duplex.
Mrs. Sterling allegedly testified that Stiviano destroyed her husband's career and took them both down. "We lost the team. They were like another child."
It doesn't seem to matter, whether the marriage regains any amount of civility. Of if the two will ever move past this moment.
One would think having billions of dollars is enough to buy the kind life one wants--but apparently not.
Nevertheless, what apparently matters most to at least one of the Sterling's is getting revenge on the 'tart' who interrupted their lives and brought public humiliation upon the Sterling name.
One observer said that Sterling may be 80 years old, but he "isn't senile," the onlooker said. "He knew exactly what he was doing."
He said, "Miss Stiviano is only one in several hundreds of women Sterling bought the right to grope and exploit during his travels with the Clippers--before Stiviano outed him for making racial slurs. "
When pictures of her husband and his mistress became public fodder, Shelly Sterling was probably pitied by every other cheated on and miserable billionaire wife. But Mrs. Sterling got something that's now coveted by every scorned wife.
She got sweet, sweet revenge.
